Edge Computing

Edge computing is a distributed computing paradigm that brings computation and data storage closer to the devices and users that generate and consume data. In edge computing, data is processed at the edge of the network, near the source of the data, rather than in a centralized data center. Edge computing can reduce latency, improve security, and reduce the amount of data that needs to be transmitted over the network, making it well-suited for applications such as IoT, real-time analytics, and autonomous systems.
